The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is the UKís leading charity supporting links between Britain and Japan. 

The Foundation was created in 1988 with a generous donation from Daiwa Securities. Its headquarters is at Daiwa Foundation Japan House in London and its Tokyo Office administers the Foundationís activities in Japan. 

The Foundationís aims are: 

  • to enhance the UKís and Japanís understanding of each otherís people and culture

  • to enable British and Japanese students and academics to further their education through exchanges and co-operation

  • to make grants available to individuals and organisations to promote links between the UK and Japan at all levels.

The Foundation carries out its work principally through the Daiwa Scholarships, grant-giving and an events programme focused on enhancing links between the UK and Japan.
