The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is the UKís leading charity supporting links between Britain and Japan.
The Foundation was created in 1988 with a generous donation from Daiwa Securities. Its headquarters is at Daiwa Foundation Japan House in London and its Tokyo Office administers the Foundationís activities in Japan.
The Foundationís aims are:
to enhance the UKís and Japanís understanding of each otherís people and culture
to enable British and Japanese students and academics to further their education through exchanges and co-operation
to make grants available to individuals and organisations to promote links between the UK and Japan at all levels.
The Foundation carries out its work principally through the Daiwa Scholarships, grant-giving and an events programme focused on enhancing links between the UK and Japan.
